Ingredients
Cooking spray
12 ounces spaghetti, cooked al dente
4 large eggs, beaten
2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 cup cottage cheese
28 ounces tomato-based spaghetti sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and coat a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
Cook the spaghetti in boiling salted water for about 12 minutes, drain well, and place in a large mixing bowl.
Combine the beaten eggs, grated Parmesan, and melted butter with the cooked spaghetti until evenly coated.
Spread the spaghetti mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Spread the cottage cheese evenly over the spaghetti layer.
Distribute the tomato spaghetti sauce over the cottage cheese.
Top with an even layer of shredded mozzarella cheese.
Bake for 30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
Notes
Ensure the pasta is cooked al dente so it maintains its structural integrity during baking. You can add cooked ground beef or turkey to the sauce layer for extra protein if desired. Let the casserole rest for 5-10 minutes after removing from the oven for cleaner slicing.
